FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Is healthcare navigation the same as medical care?

No, healthcare navigation and medical care are not the same. Medical care involves the diagnosis, treatment, and management of illness or injury by medical professionals. This can include consultations, tests, procedures, medications, and other interventions—all aimed at improving health outcomes. Healthcare navigation, by contrast, is about guiding individuals and families through the healthcare system. It helps patients understand their options, connect with the right providers, and navigate the healthcare system complexities. The goal is to make the healthcare experience smoother and more manageable, so care can be received efficiently and effectively.
